Review of The Mark of the Beast Revelation 13
In “The Mark of the Beast Revelation 13” by Ezra Celestin, the author discusses a spiritual subject, namely the predictions found in the book of Revelations. This book connects contemporary happenings and people with those prophecies from days gone by.
Through this unique perspective, the author adds an unusual angle to the widely studied religion. However, he merges contemporary occurrences with well-known personalities in such a manner that no other book can compare. No doubt, the author worked hard on it. The presentation is very detailed, with reasons and examples for why he offers those arguments.
The book is packed with information, but it's not easy to read. It is jumbled up, and you can’t really find the main points. The book could have been put in an order that is more comprehensible. However, the author’s ideas are interesting, but they are his personal views. He has his own point of view, which not all people would support. Some readers may find this uneasy or doubtful.
He then goes into detail on how modern political figures and events can be traced back to these ancient predictions. However, this is quite an ambitious step that may well upset some of the readers whose opinions are diametrically opposed. The author seems certain of his beliefs and does not really address alternative interpretations. As such, it gives a bit of a narrow-minded viewpoint.
For those who love interpreting prophecies, this is indeed a must-read book. It may not be interesting to anyone if he or she is not interested in this subject.
The book attempts to establish links between what we experience in our world currently and ancient Bible prophecies. It is apparent that the author has done his research and has come up with really brilliant notions. However, the book may not be easy for people to understand, and it is very opinionated by the author.
Moreover, the way those prophecies are linked with current happenings as well as people might prove challenging for those specific readers. Apart from that, he is quite rigid in his opinion of things and does not often factor in his own point of view.
The book has a few spelling mistakes, but they are not distracting.
I would rate “The Mark of the Beast, Revelation 13” 3 out of 5 stars. Although it has a lot of useful information and new ideas, it is poorly organized and presents a very partial perspective. If you are really religious and love reading about prophecies, then this book is a good choice, though not easy reading. However, if you are searching for a quick book or one that is presented from several angles, this may not be your choice.
