According to the author of Destruction, Zach Hackert, members of the Democratic Party of the United States of America, aided and abetted by a handful of fake Republicans (RINOs), have over decades, dating back to the years before the election of Abraham Lincoln to the presidency, enacted laws that sought to consolidate their power and selfish interests, perpetuate racist laws, undermine the constitution on several occasions, upset global peace, or place the United States and its allies in a precarious state in international politics. The author goes through principal political figures from the Democratic Party, institutions, and past events that he blames for the current and past socio-economic and political situation of the United States. The author covered several topics, including America’s endless wars, the debt crisis, the opioid crisis, debunking the Trump/Russia collusion, and more.

The author reviewed the origins of the Democratic Party to help us understand how its founders were inspired by the racist monarchies around the globe at that time, such as the United Kingdom, France, etc. The Democrats held on to their segregationist past, triggering a civil war, and remnants of their racism remained visible up to the 1960s with the infamous Jim Crow laws. The Democrats, through various elected and appointed officials, enacted policies that undermined America’s position on the global stage and eroded the trust of the American people in institutions like the FBI. I love how the author logically constructed his arguments through verifiable historical accounts that thoroughly justified his conclusions. The content of this book is not limited to historical facts of the last century but also includes recent controversial topics like America’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of the Democrats in spying on and undermining President Trump.

I rate this book four stars out of five stars. The arguments presented by the author in this book are compelling, relevant, and adequately substantiated by historical facts, some of which I can attest to being true. This book contained a few grammatical and typographical errors, and because of this, I deducted one star from the maximum rating. There are no instances of sexual or violent content in this book, but there are multiple instances of borderline profanity and a handful of non-borderline profanities. I recommend this book to American readers of all religious faiths.
