The author of the book "Rising From The Floor," Stephanie V. Harvey, uses her own life as an example for conveying the concept of beginning over and rebuilding your life. This little book is the ideal guide to assist the reader in making improvements to their lives, provided that they are willing to do so.

There are a lot of subjects covered in this book that will help the reader start over and rebuild their life. Some of these topics include mindfulness, accepting failures, employing optimism, boosting their self-esteem, meditation, furthering their own personal development, spirituality, and a lot of other things. The personal themes that the author included in the book were how she dealt with the death of a loved one, divorce and financial displacement, emotional devastation, and job displacement, as well as how it impacted her and how the reader can learn from her experiences. At the conclusion of the book, the author provides further information on self-improvement and gives the reader access to various resources.

Just one aspect of the book troubled me, and that was the fact that the chapters were not numbered in any way. There were times when I felt as though I had to halt in the midst of nowhere since there was no location that I could bookmark that would allow me to return to it. This is sometimes required in order to provide the reader with a spot to return to or a place to take a break from reading.

One of the things that I appreciate about this book is that the author managed to keep it concise, succinct, and to the point. You are always able to comprehend what she is attempting to convey or communicate through her writing. Another thing that I admire about the author is that she used her personal experiences as an example. This will make it easier for the reader to relate to her and the guidance that she is attempting to provide to her readers. I thought the author did a wonderful job of concluding the book in a way that left a lasting impression on me.

I believe that this book deserves a rating of 4 out of 5 stars since I found it to be a really enjoyable read. A great number of individuals will be able to identify with the author's experience. Which makes this book an ideal choice for them. Due to the fact that the arrangement of the chapters was really bothersome to me and made it impossible for me to easily navigate the book, I had to remove one star. The fact that I discovered a few mistakes leads me to believe that this book has been professionally edited.

Any reader who is looking for self-help books, who is looking to get their life in order, or who is in need of a pick-me-up should read this book.
