I think 28 Disastrous Dates: A (Mostly True) Humourous Memoir by Poppy Mortimer is a very usual book, and I like it because it is different. It kept my interest, and it had me sitting on the edge of my seat, wondering about the author's next date and what it would be like. I find the book useful because it is filled with objective postmortems and lessons learned along the way, and anyone interested in the subject matter of dating can benefit tremendously from the author's freely sharing about her encounters. Some of the stories really caused me to be concerned, but the book is crafted in such a way that it speaks to hopefulness and perseverance, and the book is funny. The author, even when she was discouraged, never lost hope and continued to live life to the fullest.

I give the book Five out of five stars because it is real and it showcases the hurdles singles have to cross as they try to find a compatible and suitable partner to navigate life with. The author learned from her encounters, and I admire that she lived a life without borders and how she embraced new adventures. She did not let her failed dates darken her skies.

The summary at the end of the book is also a nice addition. The book also gets high ratings from me because it is well edited, and this is quite refreshing. Much care and attention was paid to producing a quality book, and the editors succeeded.

Is there anything I do not like about this book? No, I like everything about this book and have no recommendations as to how it can be improved. The book is simply very good. Again, it is well-edited. It is tremendously descriptive, and each date and its peculiarities come to life and unfold before your very eyes. I highly recommend this book.
