Tania Tomyn's book Nine Months is a deeply moving and poignant read. The story introduces us to Tania and her husband, who yearned for a child but faced challenges with conception. Instead, they decided to adopt a dog named Wilbur, who had been rescued from the streets and needed surgery for a damaged eye. Despite their initial hopes, the situation with Wilbur took an unexpected turn, leading to a heartbreaking experience for Tania. But what events transpired?

Wilbur, a stray dog with a damaged eye, wandered the streets of Pasadena until he was rescued. Tania and her husband, struggling with fertility issues, were searching for a dog to love like their own child. When Tania's sister Becky suggested Wilbur, who bore a striking resemblance to their previous dog, they eagerly adopted him. However, their first night with Wilbur was far from idyllic. Tania was frustrated by his snorting and snoring, which left Wilbur feeling uncomfortable and irritated. Desperate for answers, Tania made numerous trips to the vet, hoping to uncover the source of Wilbur's distress. To discover the truth about Wilbur's condition, you'll have to get your hands on this emotional book.

This book has many positive qualities. As I write this review, I can't help but feel a deep sense of sadness. The emotions experienced by Tania and her husband are palpable, and I find myself sharing in their pain. No one should have to endure the distress and events they went through. I admire the author for her strength and courage in sharing this difficult story. After reading this book, I can't shake the heaviness in my heart and the sadness in my eyes. The descriptive language used by the author really resonates with me, effectively conveying the depth of her emotions and experiences. The consistent use of descriptive language throughout the book effectively captures the author's thoughts and feelings as she navigates her pain and torment. I appreciate the overall language and the first-person narrative, which allow the reader to empathise with the author's journey. The inclusion of a disclaimer in the last chapter is a thoughtful touch, providing readers with a clear understanding of what to expect. The presence of images in each chapter vividly illustrates the author's relationship with her dog, allowing readers to reflect on their own experiences of loss.

Regarding any potential drawbacks, I don't find anything to criticise. I appreciate the author's emotional tone and heartfelt approach throughout the book. The absence of errors made for a seamless reading experience.

In summary, I give the book 5 out of 5 stars. The book is filled with powerful emotions, and I deeply empathise with the author's experiences. I hope she can find her way through the grieving process, as I know it can be difficult. I believe this book is especially valuable for those who are currently grieving, as it offers a sense of companionship during a challenging time.
