The Three Coats by Sunny Flynn is a fascinating blend of adventure and mystery with a gentle touch of paranormal. First, the story takes us to California. We meet the extended family of Nick, a young and talented baseball player who lost his life in an accident. Seven years after Nick’s death, his grieving mother sent off Nick’s three favorite coats to a second-hand clothes shop in her native Boston. Who will buy Nick’s coats? How will Nick’s coats change the lives of their new owners?

The Three Coats by Sunny Flynn engaged me from the first episode. The story is fast-moving, suspenseful, and revolves around the lives of a few unrelated families. The families have different backgrounds, professions, and aspirations. But they all have in common the love and care infusing the relationships, and Nick’s legacy coats. This kind, gentle, and very cozy story is spiced with mystery and adventure which accentuate the strength of the care and love in these families. But most of all, I liked the paranormal aspect of this novel and the ending which surpassed all my expectations.

I cannot comment on the editing quality of the printed edition because I listened to the audiobook. As for the audio production, the audiobook was narrated by Torii Alaniz, an experienced American voice artist. Torii has many audiobooks to her credit, and she did a great job narrating this book with her naturally young and friendly voice. I think Torii was the perfect choice of narrator, as she excelled in bringing every character of this story to life. The sound recording was flawless too. All in all, the six and a half hours it took me to listen to this audiobook from the start to the end were sheer bliss.

I loved this flawlessly written and perfectly produced audiobook, and I can’t fault any aspect of it. So, I wholeheartedly rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this book to fans of family-focused novels, adventure, and mystery.
