Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis offers a simplified roadmap from amateur to pro golfer within two years, employing unconventional methods for rapid improvement. This guide showcases non-traditional approaches to enhancing golfing skills for beginners. Structured into three sections—utilizing mental strategies, practising techniques, and on-course performance—Barlis meticulously elucidates how NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) combined with practical exercises can elevate one's golfing abilities. NLP acknowledges the inherent potential within individuals for positive transformation, leveraging our internal resources for improvement.

I particularly admired the simplicity of this book, especially the initial terms that were so easy to grasp—even for someone like me who isn't a golfer. According to the author, the book aims to serve as a quick reference guide to accompany a golf bag, and I believe the author successfully achieved this goal. What I also appreciated was how much of this book could be applied not only by golfers but also in various aspects of a golfer's life or even by non-golfers.

Specifically, the techniques discussed regarding amplifying desired outcomes and reducing unwanted ones were particularly insightful. The author impressively combined visual aids with detailed explanations, which greatly enhanced the understanding of the concepts presented. This book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.

While I found nothing to dislike in this straightforward and genuine book, there's one statement from the author that evokes conflicting feelings within me: 'I have avoided employing much of the typical golf jargon in this manual because I perceive it as more detrimental than beneficial.' I comprehended the intention behind this statement, yet I acknowledge that not everyone might grasp it, particularly concerning the example she provided regarding 'yips'. I recommend this book to beginners and intermediate golfers seeking rapid skill enhancement through unconventional methods and individuals interested in NLP-based personal development beyond golf.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its exceptional ability to simplify golf improvement within a two-year timeframe using unconventional yet highly effective methods. Kalliope Barlis' strategic division of the book into mental strategies, practice techniques, and on-course performance, integrating Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), offers unparalleled value for skill enhancement. Its accessibility to both golfers and non-golfers, despite the absence of traditional golf terminology, is a testament to its universal appeal. The book's utility as a quick reference guide, combined with its authenticity and comprehensive insights into improving one's game, sets it apart as an invaluable resource. Additionally, its practical techniques extend beyond golf, making it a versatile guide for personal development.
