Review of All You'll Never Be (Audible Edition)
Humans have this tendency to compare one another. Overdoing it can cause envy and dissatisfaction. This, in effect, takes away your happiness. All You'll Never Be Because of Who You Are, written by E. L. Neve, gives readers advice on how to gain back their happiness.
Using nature as an example, Neve taught a powerful lesson in her book. She talked about a grasshopper and a flower. She reasoned about the improper desires of a grasshopper who wished to fly and a flower who wished to grow tall to the sky. Would they gain their desires? Humans should understand that everyone has different abilities and opportunities. While sometimes it's good to get better by imitating others, we shouldn't take it so far that we lose appreciation for what we have. Desires for unattainable goals can cause regrets. According to Neve, "Regret is a vitriolic venom." She said that it wipes away our awareness of all the joys we have attained.
This audible book is very short. However, it's power-packed with so many interesting sayings and lessons that make a reader reflect deeply on themselves. One of those powerful sayings goes like this: "Be at peace with all you will never be, for that is the price you are paying for all you want to be." When I heard this, I had to pause the audio and reflect on what this might mean for me. I understood that I shouldn't beat myself up too much for those things that I lack. But I think that there's more to this saying, and it depends on the reader.
There's nothing that I disliked about this audiobook. It was simple, easy to understand, and very motivational. I found the author's voice to be calm, composed, and reaching to the heart. I can't stop praising the soothing melodies at each break of the chapter. I enjoyed them so much.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found no listening error. This book deserves a full rating because it accomplished its purpose, which is to help readers find happiness by appreciating themselves. I recommend this book to those with low self-esteem or to those who find too many flaws in themselves.

Enjani, it sounds like this book has a treasure trove of good lessons within it. I enjoyed you sharing the quote that makes the title make more sense. I think there could be a lot of different ways people interpret and receive the message, as you stated. At the very least, it offers quite a few points to reflect on. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us on this audiobook! Until next time...Enjani Matendeko wrote: ↑02 Jan 2024, 13:32 [Following is a volunteer review of "All You'll Never Be (Audible Edition)" by E L Neve.]
