Through personal accounts, research, credible sources, and ancestral knowledge, Maria takes readers on a journey through many misconceptions and issues facing our world today in regards to racial differences. "Black, Red, Yellow, and White Lies Matter Too" offers a refreshing perspective on racial identity. The author's challenge to media narratives and emphasis on turning to books for accurate information are commendable, encouraging a critical approach to understanding history. The exploration of different themes, including American Indian stories and slavery, adds profoundness to the book, providing a detailed view of complex issues.

I liked how the author gave detailed reasons why she believed some of the myths mentioned were false and also why she believed others were true. Also, the inclusion of various materials for readers to further research is very helpful for a better understanding of the various topics discussed in this book.

There was not a lot to dislike about this book, but it is worthy of note that some myths in which the author showed uncertainty or was not sure whether they were true or false may appear misleading. I could barely find any grammatical errors while I read through this book; hence, this book was exceptionally edited.

I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of its skillful exploration of racial identity, engaging storytelling, and emphasis on critical thinking. Also, I appreciate the fact that this book preaches unity in a world that is fast becoming segregated because of differences in race, culture, or skin color.

Finally, I recommend this book to readers passionate about exploring racial identity and delving into the complexities of historical truths. This book is also beneficial for those interested in tracing their ancient lineage, as it contains materials that could be helpful in their search to learn more. must-read. It will particularly resonate with those seeking a comprehensive understanding of American Indian stories, slavery, and the nuances of identity.
