Review of Inner Trek
Inner Trek by Mohan Ranga Rao is a non-fiction book detailing his journey to Kailash Manasa Sarovar. The author lucidly describes the circumstances that prompted his visit and emphasizes the transformation in his thought process before and after experiencing Kailash Manasa Sarovar. The book describes how the author grew spiritually during his visit.
When Mohan’s property is illegally occupied by a land mafia led by Jalli Jagadish, following his wife Mamatha’s advice, Mohan pledges to circumambulate Mount Kailash, located on the Tibetan plateau at an altitude of 18,000 feet, and take a holy dip in the lake at Manasa Sarovar. Although Mohan’s issue is eventually resolved, he declines to fulfill his vows.
Upon his wife’s persistent reminders and advice to uphold his vows, Mohan eventually agreed to embark on the pilgrimage. The author’s mindset underwent significant transformation throughout this journey, infusing him with a newfound sense of wisdom. The book meticulously details every aspect of the pilgrimage, illustrating the profound beauty of the experience and elucidating how it profoundly altered his inner engineering.
I thoroughly enjoy this book; the author vividly recounts their pilgrimage, immersing readers in the experience as if we’re journeying alongside. The accompanying pictures enhance the reading experience, providing a profound touch. The author’s writing style is delightful, making the overall book a highly enjoyable read.
There is nothing I dislike about this book. I couldn’t find any errors. The editing is exceptionally well-done. The book has profanity in it. It doesn't contain any erotic scenes. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars for the author’s incredible writing style and valuable content. Despite its focus on a religious pilgrimage, it caters not to a specific religion but is suitable for everyone seeking inner growth. I highly recommend this book to those interested in travel and life experience-related literature.
