[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Rebelliousness" by Thomas Gerber.]
Tom was the middle child of five children. He was difficult and troublesome even during his formative years. He married his first wife, Lisa, who divorced him based on infidelity. Tom got married to his second wife, Lynn. The couple decided they did not want to have kids. but were advised otherwise by Tom's mother, Marilyn. Freddie was a close friend to Tom, who had married three times and been divorced three times. Lynn gave birth to two children; the first is a girl named Cheryl, and the second is a boy named Bert. What became of Tom's children? Did they take social drugs and party like their parents?
The Indiana State Legislature had approved a bill legalizing Riverboat Casino gambling facilities. Tom's father, before his demise, had introduced Tom to First Baptist Church for a meeting regarding riverboat gambling. What is the objective of this meeting? What was Tom's opinion, and was their mission actualized? What killed Rob?
Rebelliousness: A Tale of Two Buddies by Thomas Gerber tells a story of what growing up was like during the 20th century in southern Indiana as we follow the life of Tom.
I learned a lot in this book. I specifically learned about the lithotripsy procedure, which is a medical means of treating kidney stones. I learned other medical terminologies, which include hysterectomy, vasectomy, tubal ligation, and orthopedics. I also learned about the necessity of parents creating friendship bonds with their children. Also, hard work and diligence are virtues encouraged in this book; the book discourages laziness and idleness. Through this book, I appreciate embarking on adventures, which could be for educational purposes or to have fun and appreciate nature. More so, it is paramount that we understand the importance of friendship and family.
I would love to applaud the author for this amazing work. There were a lot of characters, but it was not complex, and the book is easy to understand. The book is well-detailed; the brand of materials, places of events, and dates of events were appropriately stated. Each chapter of this book contains a short write-up that will usher readers into the content of that particular chapter. The book is intriguing, informative, and captivating. I will not forget to mention that I only found two grammatical errors in this book. Hence, the book is professionally edited.
I could not find any negative aspects in this book. I have had a wonderful read and would love to recommend it to anyone who desires to know more about the importance of friendship, family, and adventure. I would also suggest it to anyone who admires virtues like hard work and diligence. I therefore give Rebelliousness: A Tale of Two Buddies by Thomas Gerber a rating of five out of five stars.
