God's Kingdom 1313 The Secret Pain is authored by Mark Hour. In trying times, we often ask, "Why, God?" and more than often blame God for our troubles. The author himself has lived a difficult life, which resulted in disconnects in personal and professional relationships and even time in prison. However, he decided to embrace the word of God. This enabled him to lift himself out of distress. He now lives with a sense of calm and joy. Through this book, he hopes to help others navigate life with God by their side.
The book is split into eight thoughtfully written chapters. The first chapter revolves around emotional pain and urges readers to answer pointed questions. The questions continue further into the book as well. The second chapter details the seven swords of sorrow that afflicted Mary's heart. The author delves into the sensitive subject of how mismatched expectations can result in heartache and how it can be resolved. He also details his life in prison and ends the book by highlighting takeaways, a thought-provoking poem, and various centers to reach out for help. The book is seemingly a quick read, with just about 80 pages, but readers will be forced to stop and reassess various situations and their responses in life.
The author shares personal experiences from childhood, adolescence, failed relationships, and marriage. He discusses accumulated pain and sadness. He then explains how these affected his behavior. He emphasizes the importance of effective communication in relationships, especially when it comes to expressing our vulnerabilities and fears. There are some insightful tips about harmonious relationships in this section.
Moreover, the author proposes that prisons should focus on reforming convicted individuals instead of solely punishing them. He argues that prisons should provide an environment that enables rehabilitation and teaches the necessary skills to ensure that the offender does not repeat the offense in the future. This section offers food for thought for lawmakers and society regarding how we treat prisoners.
Lead a life that reflects God's image: love unconditionally, forgive, refrain from judging, let go of grudges, and move forward. The obstacles we encounter in life serve to discover what we truly value in all relationships. I concur with the thoughts shared by the author. I also loved how the author reinforced his views about the Bible extracts using analogies from his personal life, supplements like Spider-Man, and the cycle of offense. The structure of the chapters and the frequently presented questions make the reading impactful. I urge you to pick up a copy to assess and improve the quality of relationships and life.
I can confidently state that the book is professionally edited, as I could not find any errors. I couldn't find any negative aspects about this book either. The author has a crisp and straightforward writing style that intensifies the subject matter. I rate the book
five stars out of five after accounting for everything that was mentioned above.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for peace, love, and calm in their lives. The book provides hope and is a genuine way of reaching out to those who feel lost and helpless. It can help identify unresolved issues and find ways to reflect on them, correct them, and move towards a healthy and happy life.

Life is hard. Especially if you make bad decisions. The only thing that makes it better is being able to say that God is by your side. Thanks!

It is refreshing to see a BOTD reflecting the basic fear of humanity. Simply, the need and search for love. All difficulties, askew decisions flow from the fear of non acceptance. A wonderful review spotting the many aspects of faith and development. The author and the reviewer spoke about prisons. Perhaps, our immense love for humanity will cause a movement to heal over punishment. Thank you for the review
