Review of Out of the Uniform, Back into Civilian Life: No Nonsense Veterans Benefits Guid
Out of the Uniform, Back into Civilian Life: No Nonsense The Veterans Benefits Guide by Jason Pike gives US veterans the knowledge and resources they need to understand them and get the benefits they are entitled to. In addition to helping you understand what you are entitled to and how to acquire it, this book covers some of the fundamental practicalities of navigating the VA. It also provides an overview of the VA, its benefits, and how to claim what is rightfully yours.
Because each benefit was presented step-by-step, the author made this book quite simple to read. This method proved to be very beneficial. I learned about a number of VA benefits while reading this book, including house loans, cemetery services, healthcare, education support, and compensation and rehabilitation for disabilities. Furthermore, all veterans who have served, as well as their families, are eligible for these benefits. He discussed the advantages of the educational system and mentioned how his daughter received a four-year free education, which at the time was quite beneficial.
I appreciated how he described certain benefits from his own experience. He related how he knew of a soldier who had beaten up his commander, been expelled from the army following a court martial, received a dishonorable discharge, and then later received rehabilitation through a discharge status after it was determined that his combat experience had left him suffering from a classic case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Before delving into the eligibility requirements for VA benefits, which are open to all veterans and active duty members, the author made a passing mention of this (specifically mentioning the educational system).
This guide was really beneficial to me, and I believe it will be beneficial to other US veterans as well. This is a book that anyone who wants to learn about the operations of the US Department of Veteran Affairs should definitely read.
My rating for this book is five stars out of five. Hats out to the editor for a simple guide that was flawlessly crafted. This article explains to readers the several benefits that the VA provides and how to apply for them. I won't be deducting any stars from this book because I have nothing to complain about.
