The book introduces the 2Y3X® program. It emphasizes breaking down long-term goals, introducing practical implementation over strategy, and aligning goals with tactical changes. The 2Y3X Roadmap, SWOT analysis, and strategy map were thoroughly explained by the author. The book covers BHAGs and goal-setting theory. It provides insights into processes, risk management, strategy map completion, and meeting rhythms, emphasizing the 2Y3X framework's flexibility. The Growth Lab Team, decision-making, delegation, and incentives were discussed. There is a need for a growth lab team (GLT) that includes both senior and junior members, focusing on competence and commitment rather than seniority. The GLT is responsible for addressing business blockages, developing processes, and executing transformative strategies. The book is a valuable resource for navigating the complexities of business management and achieving sustainable success.

Scale at Speed by Felix Velarde is a comprehensive guide to strategic growth, blending business insights with the author's experiences. Velarde delves into crucial aspects of organizational development, stressing the significance of managing people, strategic hiring, and continuous staff training. Felix Velarde's practical wisdom, combined with the adaptability of the 2Y3X framework, positions the book as a well-structured and insightful guide for business leaders and entrepreneurs seeking a strategic approach to growth.

A notable feature of the book is the completion of the strategy map and the establishment of effective meeting rhythms. The QuickMap, introduced in the book, showcases the author's adaptability and provides a practical tool for immediate challenges. Throughout the book, the flexibility of the 2Y3X framework is emphasized, making it applicable to businesses of varying sizes.

I found no drawbacks or shortcomings in the book. The book offers insights into the practical aspects of goal-setting in business, illuminating the significance of developing actionable plans rather than focusing only on strategic planning. By delving into practical strategies, the book will equip readers with a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively set and achieve goals within a business context. It not only emphasizes the importance of goal-setting but will also guide readers on how to translate these goals into tangible actions. The author's approach goes beyond theoretical concepts, providing a practical roadmap for implementing strategic goals and fostering a results-oriented mindset in business planning.

The book editing is perfect. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because the author communicates complex business concepts in a clear and accessible manner. The use of simple language, visual aids, and a structured format ensures that readers can grasp and apply the principles outlined in the book. I recommend this book to entrepreneurs, business leaders, start-up enthusiasts, business consultants, academia, and anyone facing business challenges.

Veronica, this sounds like an educational read! The discussion of goal-setting theory and the notion of growth lab teams that place emphasis on competence and commitment rather than just seniority drew me in. I think the author hits a salient point in actionable plans over planning. I think I am most impressed with the perfect editing :romance-hearteyes: Until next time...

The book's part about the Growth Lab Team really stuck with me. It's so true that we often focus on seniority instead of skills and commitment. I've seen this in my team, where some of our best ideas come from newer members. It's refreshing to see a book that values everyone's input.
