Are you struggling with love? Do you think dating is confusing? Are you looking for ways to simplify your search for lasting love? There are so many myths and rules surrounding dating. It does get challenging to find and maintain a healthy and satisfying relationship. Author Dr. Rachel Sims proposes in her book Are You Love Smart or Love Stupid that finding love is not necessarily complicated. By sharing her experiences and those of others she has met, Sims explains the contemporary dating environment. She talks about the origins of love and busts myths about dating.

The book is highly relevant for today’s times when love is typically searched on the internet and dating apps. There are just too many options, but they add to the confusion rather than comfort. The internet is flooded with dating advice. There are too many opinions provided by love gurus. Yet, an average person is still mostly lost and without a steady relationship. Sims provides effective dating tips that can be easily implemented.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book. The examples provided were very relatable. Sims covered most of the ground discussing all that is wrong with the current state of dating. She provides insightful tips on finding love, dating carefully, choosing partners wisely, preparing for marriage, and maintaining healthy relationships. She also spoke about financial aspects, which I thought was crucial.

I would rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. It is professionally edited. There are no grammatical errors. The length is perfect, and the author maintains a friendly, conversational tone throughout. She also spruces the content with humour.

I recommend the book to readers who are actively looking to date. If you feel stuck in your love life or haven’t been in a steady relationship, this book is for you. Even if you are in a relationship or are married, you can use the tips in this book to make your relationship healthier and happier.
