Have you been seeking a deeper connection with your feline buddy? Or perhaps you are considering getting a cat but are confused by the dos and don’ts that come with it. Well, look no further. The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Your Cat by Jia Mau provides a step-by-step guide for you. It explores the historical significance of cats, shedding light on their behavior and the factors influencing it. The guide covers aspects like the mental and physical health of cats, the daily hazards they face and how to curtail them, and basic grooming skills tips for your cats, just to mention a few.

This book is insightful, particularly for lifelong cat owners or those who wish to bring a cat into their lives. The author's profound love for cats is evident from his tone and style of writing. He offered a blend of practical tips and edifying viewpoints. I once spent the summer with my cousins who had cats, so this book was filled with relatable experiences and useful advice, making it a delightful and enriching journey into the world of cats. Among the eight insightful chapters, I was especially interested in the history and evolution of cats. It was fascinating to learn that in ancient Egypt, cats were treated as gods, and cat owners had to shave their brows when mourning their cats.

Among the other knowledge I acquired from this book, two major ones stuck with me. To start with, I was always of the opinion that cats love milk, but this book made me realize that it is hazardous to them as they are lactose intolerant. Also, I learned that many cats experience a certain degree of vision loss as they get older. There is nothing to dislike about this book.

Overall, this is a beautiful read. It was professionally edited, as I found no grammatical errors in it. I rate this book a 5 out of 5 for the reasons above.

I recommend this book to cat owners and lovers.

Cats have lived with my family for longer than I can remember, and they do have individual personalities, and, so different from dogs. The reviewer does a good job of describing the book, thank you. This read would be an excellent gift for a cat lover.

I love my cat so much! I believe that, as humans, they are all different. My cat likes bananas, the little weirdo. But we should aim to understand them better and do our best as their human companions, so I love that the author has compiled this guide. Thank you for your review.

The book is a must read for someone who is willing to keep cats as pets for a lifetime. Cats are different and they prefer variety of feeds and as mentioned some are hazardous to them e.gmilk but people lack knowledge on such.

Cats are lactose intolerant?
This is a new one to me, as well. Hoping to grab a copy of this book to learn more, but I will continue researching more on the issue of cats being lactose intolerant.
Many thanks for the amazing review.
