Review of Niching Up
Niching Up by Chris Dreyer
Many people aspire to leave their current jobs and become successful entrepreneurs. The fact that it has been accomplished by so many people makes it more appealing and accessible. Unfortunately, many are not as successful as they believe. Alternatively, being less successful than the person they see is insufficient for them. At this point, Chris Dreyer provided excellent answers to the queries concerning what and why we are doing wrong.
While reading the book, do not read about how to attain success quickly. I advise you not to be result-oriented by asking what steps I should take.
Chris Dreyer’s Niching Up: The Narrower the Market, the Bigger the Prize tells you what the right time and place are.
I think focus is the most important message from Chris Dreyer. A point that he also underlines in his book is focusing.
I enjoyed some sections of the book. First and foremost, the author wrote in a conversational tone; the flow was as natural as if he were speaking with the reader.
As a market researcher, I believe that in order to be successful, you must first understand some fundamental truths about your chosen career. What are they?
To be efficient, raise awareness, gain expertise, charge higher prices, and convert prospects, relationships, and recommendations. Very classic and basic.
People believe that listening to success tales can help them succeed. Chris plainly explains that mistakes are equally significant. He addressed his own faults to learn what he should not do.
As Chris Dreyer says in his book, “This book is also not a step-by-step guide to finding your specific niche. Every decision is unique.” Even if you are provided with preliminary information, no one can make a decision for you. It explains which things you should consider while making a decision.
Chris explains what the appropriate signs are.
The information and figures that must be gathered are the most crucial criteria for reaching a decision. The reader's primary duty is to put together the puzzle pieces.
I cannot say anything negative about the book. I gave the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. It was well edited and written, with no flaws.
I believe there are no age limits for suggestions. Even young people can quickly comprehend how to forge their own pathways. I would recommend this book to everyone who is or wants to be self-employed. I believe small business owners should specifically read it.
