Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is a self-help guide designed to accelerate your golfing skills. With the book divided into three parts, it focuses on the mental aspect of golfing, emphasising that improved thinking leads to better performance on the course. The author recommends finding a tranquil environment to efficiently absorb the book's contents and unlock the secrets to exceptional golfing beyond just mechanical skills.

The guide is divided into three sections and caters to both beginners and seasoned experts, making it a potentially game-changing masterpiece. The author seamlessly integrates game strategies with practical tools, emphasising the importance of personal growth alongside sporting skills. Beginners can grasp the fundamentals of golf, while experienced golfers can benefit from valuable advice on mental preparation. The book is well-structured and concise, focusing on workouts, practice tips, and skill enhancement. With expertise in neuro-linguistic programming, Barlis serves as an exceptional guide in the realm of golf improvement.

What I admire most about this book is the author's attentiveness to the readers' needs. Right from the start, she caters to those who may not be familiar with golf terminology, explaining complex concepts in a clear and straightforward manner. Her intentional decision to avoid conventional golf terms, as she mentions, "I've refrained from using much of the standard golf terminology in this handbook because I find it harmful rather than helpful," aligns perfectly with my preference for clarity. Additionally, the book's organised layout, with each chapter focusing on a specific aspect of the game, makes it easy to access the required information and follow Klassen's step-by-step guidance seamlessly.

The only downside I've found with this book is that the instructions can be somewhat complex. It's possible that this is because I'm new to the sport of golf, but overall, I still view it as a valuable guide that I'll refer to when I begin playing golf. Despite this, the book shines through its rich imagery, as the author adeptly illustrates the world of golf and its complexities, transforming it into a compelling metaphor for life.

I'm awarding this book a perfect rating of five out of five stars because I didn't encounter any errors, indicating exceptional editing. The author's writing style is straightforward, leaving no room for ambiguity. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in sports, particularly golf, as it covers the basics and provides essential insights into the game. Whether you're new to golf or an experienced player, you'll find valuable resources in this book to help you improve your skills and become an expert.
