Have you ever thought about what you are going to do after retiring? How are you going to have a sustainable cash flow even when you are not working? How are your spouse or children going to survive if you are no longer in this world? There are many more of these questions, but there is only one: planning, which is exactly the definition of E. Alan Fleischauer's book 'Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead'. E. Alan Fleischauer has been a financial advisor for the last two decades and has written this book to guide common folks towards financial freedom after their retirement.

In life, a lot of things are not certain, except death, old age, and taxes. This book is going to help you prepare for each of them in some way or another. The book starts by highlighting the problems faced by individuals after retirement and the importance of reconfiguration in life. In the upcoming chapters, the author provides resources for taking various assessment tests to determine your area of interest so you can decide what career to choose depending on your personality and capability. The next chapters are based on the various aspects of planning for retirement, for example, life insurance, stocks, IRAs, 401ks, Social Security, etc., so you don't run out of cash when you are not working. The final part touches on the topic of long-term care, trusts, and wills.

I love this book. Due to the jokes, it was much easier to stay on track while reading. More so, it didn't feel like reading; due to the effortless flow, it felt as if the author was himself talking to me and explaining each topic in detail. The author's credibility and expertise can be seen throughout the book, as can the time and effort he put into researching each topic and breaking it down into simpler terms so even a layman would understand.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The sentences were put together perfectly, and the book was flawlessly edited, as there were no grammatical errors or typos. There is not a single part of this book that I hate, and overall, it's a great read.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in planning for retirement, especially those who just started their careers.
