I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" and give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This handy guide promises to help weekend golfers transform into pros in just two years, and it certainly delivers on that promise.

The author, Kalliope Barlis, draws on her experience becoming an LPGA pro in a remarkably short time. She credits the training techniques of her coach, Chuck Hogan, which integrate Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP focuses on optimizing how we think, feel, and act to achieve goals. By changing thought patterns, we can boost performance.

I appreciated the succinct, focused chapters covering concrete strategies for sharpening mental game, practice methods, and on-course play. Barlis encourages golfers to engage all the senses - vividly imagining the sights, sounds, and feel of an exceptional shot before swinging. Helpful illustrations demonstrate proper grip, stance, and more.

The book lives up to its goal of arming readers with techniques to play their personal best. I've already implemented visualizing my shots and targets, which has improved my focus and accuracy. The physical and mental warm-up exercises get me ready to play my best.

My only criticism is that left-handed golfers won't benefit as much from the righty-centric instructions and images. However, the cognitive tools can be applied by any golfer. For instance, I'm left-handed, but still use the effective practice routine outlined.

The friendly, enthusiastic tone makes for an enjoyable read. And the handy size is perfect for tossing in my golf bag to reference on the links when I need an extra boost of skill or inspiration. Thanks to the flawless editing, I didn't catch any typos.

For golfers seeking to play better faster, this Little Golf Bag Book delivers in a big way. I highly recommend it to golfers of all levels. Following Barlis' mentally and physically conditioning program, we can all achieve our personal best on the course.
