A Mother's Walk Through Scripture by Donna Silveira is a splendid book that Catholics will find very useful in delving deeper into the importance and meaning of Mary, the Mother of God. The author analyzes this figure starting from the Mysteries of the Rosary (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious) and, making constant reference to the Holy Scriptures, delves into the themes related to each of them. It is a journey of devotion and reflection that will open the minds of devoted readers.

What I liked most about this book is that the author explains complex topics clearly. She does not use difficult words or concepts and aims to help the reader better understand the various Mysteries. I liked that she uses a reverent and sincere tone; this is one of the reasons why I enjoyed reading this book so much. I also appreciated that Silveira offered readers interpretative keys that make it easier for them to be good Catholics in their everyday lives.

I must also say that the author proves to be extremely sensitive; when she writes about the Sorrowful Mysteries, readers immediately notice that she has a deep sense of compassion when she describes the torments of Christ and Mary. This makes readers feel the same pain, which allows them to understand the situations described.

The only negative side to this book is the typos. They are often oversights, and another round of correction will fix them. However, I have found many of them, so they do not go unnoticed.

Because of the typos, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars, but it is only for this reason that I do not give the highest rating. I recommend reading A Mother's Walk Through Scripture to all Catholics who wish to deepen their knowledge of the figure of Mary and better understand the Mysteries of the Rosary. I do not think there is a better book than this to have a clearer vision on this topic.
