My Spouse, My Friend by Ingiete Oyama is a non-fiction book that talks about married life, drawing insights from biblical principles. Oyama, a seasoned counselor, shares her views on marriage, highlighting its divine origin according to God's plan. She discusses various challenges couples face, such as sensuality, finances, and friendships, offering practical advice for overcoming them and building stronger marriages. Oyama emphasizes the importance of mutual respect and understanding between spouses, rejecting the idea of a perfect "fairy tale" marriage and instead advocating for hard work and compromise. She underscores the need for equality and partnership in marriage, where both partners contribute to and support each other in their journey together.

I like that the author went deep into the topic of marriage while touching on often-missed areas like self-awareness and finances. The stories that were shared were practical, filled with advice, and covered topics like friendships, money, and divorce. The book stresses the importance of communication, forgiveness, and intimacy, all within the boundaries of faith. It offers guidance on handling conflicts, managing in-law relationships, and prioritizing each other daily. Rooted in biblical wisdom, it encourages couples to seek God's guidance together. In conclusion, this is a valuable resource for couples seeking to build a lasting and fulfilling marriage.

There was nothing to dislike about this book. The messages were clear and straight to the point. I particularly enjoyed this topic because it addresses one of the most controversial topics in society today. This book has the potential to fix marriages and help strengthen shaky marriages. This book was exceptionally edited, with no form of error found in it.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the great message it contains. I recommend this book to couples who are looking for ways to solidify their marriages. It will help them build a better and stronger relationship.
