Niching Up: The Narrower the Market, the Bigger the Prize by Chris Dreyer

The author takes you on a journey of how he made his business what it is today, explaining it through various compelling stories and gripping facts. The book explains how riches are in niches. In eight short chapters, there is so much you learn and understand about niching up. How and why is it applicable to all kinds of businesses?

Obviously, it is not all rainbows and sunshine. After the introduction, various cons of niching up are discussed in the first chapter. Don't worry; in the further chapters, the author shows there are more advantages than disadvantages, which makes up for any drawbacks. When you do something that no one else is doing, you stand out.

Throughout the book, the author gives examples and explains the process of choosing a niche. He shares his own experiences gained from his own business or legal industry. His detailed case study at the end of the book about his Search Engine Optimization, how niching up personally worked for him, and how he tried so many things while listening to others ignoring his own instincts are some of the other significant things discussed in the book.

With this detailed and practical advice, the author explains how you can get out of fishing in the same red sea as everyone and do something unique to stand out and fish in the blue ocean.
Things I absolutely liked about the book:
- Easy language
- Detailed explanation for everything
- Something new and different from other books
- Pros and cons both included
- Diverse range of perspectives provided.
- Niching up makes you an expert in your field because you have spent so many hours working on one thing,
talking to the same people is the biggest advantage of all.
- Niching up brings perfection.
- No typos

I didn't find any negatives in this book. It gives you a fresh perspective and things to think about if you want to have your own business some day.
