A study showed that 70% of Americans are not happy at their workplaces or with their jobs. Also, most of them are barely saving for retirement. Inflation is increasing at a very rapid rate, and while we work hard, it is still not enough. Reconfigurement offers valuable advice on a tension-free retirement and life after the age of fifty.

Alan Fleischauer has worked primarily in the financial services sector and is a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Chartered Life Underwriter, and a Retirement Income Certified Professional.

Told with wary sarcastic humor, the author demonstrated the importance of planning a retirement, not just saving money for it. He explained why most retirement plans do not work and that people are not consciously saving up for retirement. He takes a systematic approach to the problem by dividing it into various topics like income protection, Social Security programs, investments, etc. Reading the book felt like getting advice from a close friend with a hearty sense of humor. The information and topics were dealt with in a subtle manner, making sure not to dump too much information and extensively discussing the topic at hand.

I found the additional information on statistics of income, jobs, and insurance quite helpful. Nonetheless, one must not think that the book is written based on speculation; there are many scientific studies that reinforce his teachings. Reputable sources like government websites, government schemes, and different books were cited throughout the book. The author's bottomless knowledge about retirement was evident through the many references made to different books and studies.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. The work was professionally edited, with no errors that I could spot.

Since this book has only schemes and ideas suitable for an American audience, I recommend this book to Americans aged between forty and fifty. Considering all the above arguments, I rate this book five out of five stars.
