"Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer is an informational guidebook that seeks to explain the intricacies of specializing with the aim of making optimum profit and reward. Chris proves with his book that there are more advantages to gain when one concentrates on a niche, targeting a specific audience in a business.

The book quickly sets the aim of the book straight by giving a narrative of the author’s professional journey as a digital marketer and SEO writer. From his experience, he learned that when he focuses his website on the contents of a field he’s not professionally conversant with, the website makes him a lot of money compared to when he juggles several websites for different target audiences. Niching in a business allows the possibility of premium pricing, which is possible as customers tend to pay higher if they believe in the maker’s expertise, experiences, and the brand name that has gained the people’s trust over time. This is the ultimate benefit of becoming grounded in a business niche. I believe and accept the book’s revelation about the possibility of building relationships of trust with customers which makes them recurring customers in the long run.

The tone used in conveying the author’s message is affirming and oozes honesty. The book includes the author’s tactics in succeeding as an affiliate marketer, as well as his ups and downs while striving to make the best choices that would bring more money and rewards. Another element of honesty in the book is the inclusion of both the positive and expected negative sides to niching up. However, the author advises people to use the cons and the pros to make tailored decisions while leveraging the niching-up concept.

I did not dislike anything in the book, as I found the message useful, including the writing style which allows easy comprehension and proves as a token of trust. The book is exceptionally well-edited, as I found no grammar errors in it. Hence, I’d rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to people who also seek to make the most out of their chosen profession, including financial gains and other rewards for one’s expertise. The book has tactics from the author’s professional testimony for how he made the most out of his chosen profession.
