Nearshore Adventures was written by Tssully with a guest chapter written by Jim Felgenauer. Todd and Sheryl Sullivan, using the name Tssully as their author name, talk about their tales of fishing in the Huron, which is a part of the Great Lakes. As a married couple, they share their failures and successes of working together as fishermen and teaching others how to fish as well. They also share their fishing techniques and equipment that use for each of their adventures.

This book consists of 86 pages. For being under one hundred pages, the author was able to share a lot of information and details regarding their fishing trips. The book is not set up as a text book for fishing where you are just learning about the information about the techniques, equipment, and fish themselves. The author does give explanations about these things, but he does it by telling the stories and experiences of him and his wife. There is a glossary in the back if you do not understand some of the fishing terms used in the book.

Todd and Sheryl Sullivan are lifetime members of St. Clair - Detroit River Sturgeon for Tomorrow. While they enjoy fishing for multiple species, their favorite is Sturgeon fishing. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book, but I actually enjoyed reading their stories. There was an equal blend of fishing terminologies, strategies, and fun and relaxing stories. The author talks about him and his wife's failures as well as their successes, which I found to be very honest and refreshing. I believe that aspect will be helpful to anyone looking to fish professionally or start a fishing business out on the water or selling fishing supplies. It was not only stories on how they started fishing, but also how they started a business. By sharing their stories, it serves as advice on what to do and not to do in these situations.

The only thing I can say against the book is that I wish it had been a little bit longer. This is only because I enjoyed reading their stories so much that I would have liked to read more of them. The book spans over a course of three years, so it is fast paced. I think that making the book a little longer would have been a good way to slow down the pace of the book. I had an error with downloading my copy of the book onto my kindle. I was still able to read the book of course, but some of the words were a little mixed up. I believe this was because of the error with the download, not grammatical errors by the author. This made it difficult for me to understand some of the fishing terminology though because I was not aware of the glossary until I got to the end of the book. That's why I thought it would be good for people to know that there is a glossary in the back. Other than this small issue for me, I found the book to be very enjoyable.

I would highly recommend this book for people who enjoy fishing, camping, and hunting. Even people trying to start a business in these categories could benefit from what the author has to say. Although I am recommending this book for people who enjoy fishing, I think that it could be enjoyable for people unfamiliar with this subject as well. I have only fished once in my life and didn't enjoy it very much, but I still found the stories to be fun and relaxing.

I rate Nearshore Adventures 3 out of 4 stars. I gave this book three stars because I still wish the book could have been just a little bit longer so that the book didn't have to be quickly paced. Otherwise, it is a good book that I would highly recommend to anyone. People who are fans of fishing and people who have never fished before in their life could enjoy these adventurous stories.

Interesting. You know, I don't really like fishing or anything, but it still sounds like they have some great stories to share. Thanks for the review.

This sounds more like a fishing-guide book to me. Its a pity that it wasn't longer.

Very nice review! But i do not think I will read this book as I am not a very outdoorsy person.
What is the most special thing I did today- I was MYSELF. Happy and in love and unapologetically myself.

Interesting! The shore brings comfort and relaxation. While reading your review, I miss the white sand shore in my hometown. Where me and my cousins declared who we are someday. Thanks for your review.
