Are you keen to build your success, develop your career, or run your own business? If so, 5 Systems of Successful People by Scotty Schindler may be the book for you.

Schindler sets out the five systems he believes are core to every successful person achieving real success: Business Judo®, Time Duplication®, Business of Thirds®, Rule of 100™, and Sugar & Cream®. These rules set out the attitude you need to have for success, the importance of duplicating your time, how to target who you engage with, and the key checkpoints you need to monitor.

Schindler is the founder of the real estate software business ReNet. Throughout the book, he uses real-life experiences he has had to demonstrate how these rules work in practice.

These 5 systems form part of a wider 1357 system he has developed that teaches sales, business, and leadership. The other systems focus on people, analysis, and time tactics and are also touched on at times throughout the book.

The book is well structured to clearly lay out the five systems. It is written in simple language that anyone can follow, and by weaving real-life scenarios, the systems are easier to envision. While his background is in real estate software, the book is useful to people in other sectors.

There are a couple of minor areas in which the book could be improved. The book unnecessarily uses acronyms at times, like PMA for Positive Mental Attitude, where spelling out the whole phrase each time would make it easier to read. It also has a series of subsystems for each overall system set out, and it doesn't always bring you clearly back up to the overarching rule he is trying to get across as clearly as it could.

Overall, I rate 5 Systems of Successful People 5 out of 5 stars. It is a clear and useful guide to success. The couple of minor issues I noted with it did not warrant deducting a star.

I would recommend the book to people looking to build greater success in their career or in their own business.

Thank you for your detailed review. These are five systems that I have not come across before, so I am intrigued as to what they are. However, your point about the author getting lost in the sub points and not finding their way back to the overarching point worries me.

The systems sound professional, but I'm worried after hearing how the book uses acronyms a lot and how it struggles to connect subsystems to overarching rules. I'll give it a try some day.
