With over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, Alan E. Fleischauer has written this book titled Reconfigurement as a result of the pandemic. He shares theories about planning ahead and having fun before retirement.

Fleischauer's self-help book on financial planning and career decisions is an excellent resource for those looking to reconfigure their career lives. The book offers practical advice on aging, busting myths and misconceptions, and providing advice on healthy aging. He mentioned in a personal note that he suffered a mild stroke, and it was the best thing that happened to him because it was the spark to reconfigure his life.

The author's humor and good writing style make the reading experience enthralling. He hinted at the best way to go about taxes, which wasn’t recommending evading tax and financial advisors but sharing advice to make better decisions. Fleischauer's approach equips readers with the knowledge and skills to make informed, evidence-based decisions, making it a valuable resource for anyone looking to prepare for aging. He also listed a few similar excellent books for those who will need extra guidance in the thirteenth chapter, originally meant for part-time or remote jobs.

The book is well-researched; he used credible data to debunk fallacies regarding the social security fund and eligibility criteria, as well as advice on insurance products. He used jokes to keep the readers entertained and make the learning process more fun. I enjoyed that and other areas, as I have mentioned above; therefore, I would give it a five out of five star rating. The editing was exceptionally good because I found no errors that detracted from my reading experience. It was an enlightening book that had no flaws in my experience.

I recommend this book first to a target audience of individuals over the age of forty. I also feel the younger audience can benefit from insights into future planning and themes such as picking a career path that they enjoy. The concept of saving affects everyone, but it is especially crucial to instill that value in children.
