The book, Trust Signals by Scott Baradell, is an informational book about gaining trust as the main form of Public Relations (PR) work. In this book, the author begins by telling readers exactly what PR is and what it is not. Then, he was able to explain how trust is the foundation of PR in business. It is explained with many scenarios that simply putting something in the newspaper, or any other form of advertising, is not always the most effective route of getting your name out there. What is most effective is putting it in a trusted source of advertising. The book explains that PR professionals must know their audience and use that to gain their trust when advertising or sharing stories.

Overall, I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I thought that this book was extremely informative to all readers, even those that are not in PR. I, myself, am not in the PR industry, but still was able to learn a lot from this. There was interesting content about how consumers get their information and what works in advertising and marketing versus what does not.

This book has many parts that contribute to the positive rating. For example, the book seems to be professionally edited. There were no errors that stood out or were found at all in the book. Secondly, it was very informative and interesting for all adult readers, in my opinion. Finally, the book was organized in a layout that made sense given the context of it.

The book was not perfect, regardless of the 5 star rating, though. It did tend to carry on and get slightly repetitive which is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking of what is negative about it.

This book would be a great read for adults who work in PR or those who are interested in the subjects. This book would also be beneficial to business owners looking to grow their business using trust of their clients.
