Review of The Glorious Beast!
The Glorious Beast! by Scott L.Chally is a captivating book that uniquely combines fiction and autobiography. It blends elements of comedy, suspense, thriller, action, drama, romance, politics, and religion, creating an engaging reading experience for a diverse audience. I believe that anyone can find something to connect with in this book. The narrative kicks off with two young boys starting in seventh grade and eventually establishing a delivery service for a lumber company. As the story unfolds, they get involved with a mob cartel and begin running drugs for them, which turns out to be very lucrative. This enables them to grow their business by purchasing more trucks and hiring more employees.
However, when their arrangement with the mob boss concludes, he decides to repay those who have successfully carried out the drug runs. One of the boys who received a favour passes it on to his father, who has been a significant figure in their business from the start, providing valuable advice. The father decides to utilize this favour by writing an autobiography about his life before receiving the favour. This leads to the creation of his autobiography film, "Scott Chally Believes!" which ushers in a new world order. The inclusion of the New World Order policy in the narrative serves as a surprising twist, offering a peek into an alternate reality. The book combines personal experiences with fictionalized events, presenting a detailed account of the author's life journey.
Incorporating elements of fiction and autobiography was a brilliant decision by the author. Usually, autobiographies are plain and fixed, in my opinion. However, I appreciate the author's unique approach in this book. Scott's unwavering spirit and commitment to his goals, despite facing obstacles, resonated with me. The author's disclosure of having dyslexia and including potentially wrongly written words or sentences adds authenticity to the storytelling. This allows readers to better understand and connect with the author's experiences. Finally, Scott's growth and evolution throughout the narrative are commendable, making him a character readers can empathize with and root for.
There was nothing in particular that I disliked about the book, being that the author beautifully put out certain details about his life so that people could benefit from it. This book was a very creative piece. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy a diverse range of genres, including fiction, autobiography, comedy, suspense, thrillers, action, drama, romance, politics, and religion.
I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars as it is a captivating blend of fiction and autobiography that seamlessly weaves together elements of comedy, suspense, thriller, action, drama, romance, politics, and religion, making it an engaging read for a wide audience. The author's unique approach to incorporating personal experiences with fictionalized events adds depth and authenticity to the storytelling, allowing readers to connect with the narrative on a deeper level. Scott Chally's unwavering spirit and commitment to his goals, despite facing obstacles such as dyslexia, are both inspiring and relatable. His growth and evolution throughout the book are commendable, making him a character readers can empathize with and root for. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.
