Are You Love Smart or Love Stupid: Debunking the Myths That Stop You from Finding and Keeping Love by Dr. Rachel Sims is a self-help book for people who aspire to have healthy relationships not only with their partners but also with themselves.

As someone who has been single for a while, I was a little skeptical if this book would help me at all. However, after reading the book, I can confidently say that this is a good start for people who wish to build a lasting and healthy relationship. There is a lot of misinformation being spread under the guise of relationship advice, especially since the rise of podcasts. I was glad to see that this problem was addressed in the "Introduction" of the book. Just because somebody says it with confidence does not mean they are right.

The book has nine chapters that deal with different topics. The author begins the book by talking about how nature and nurture are equally responsible for the way someone learns to love. She moves on to debunk the myths about dating. I appreciate that she sheds light on some toxic myths. For example, one should play hard to get. This is a very common myth, especially among people in their teens or early twenties. The book successfully covers a variety of important topics like self-concept, intimacy, finances in a relationship, etc.

I could not find any negative things to mention. The book seemed very well edited, with no errors. The book is under one hundred and fifty pages. It is a short book that covers all the important topics that one must consider to build a healthy relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing style. I appreciate the fact that the author has provided a list of critical points at the end of the book.

I will give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I could not find a single negative thing to mention, and hence, I have no reason to deduct any stars. It is a must-read for anyone who wants to either strengthen an existing relationship or build a strong and healthy relationship.
