In his book “Spirituality in Practice" Dr. Krishnamoorthy Subramanian takes his reader on an enlightening excursion into the sacred corridors of spiritual inquiry into the essence of life. Consisting of five thoughtful chapters, the sacred journey takes the mind to a grand sweep of spirituality through a holistic and integrative lens from the beginning to implementation.

Dr. Subramanian writes with eloquence and admiration for his subject and allows readers of all kinds to connect with and understand complex spiritual ideas. By sharing personal stories and life examples, the author connects his readers to the lofty ideology, illustrating how we can indeed apply it to our daily lives in meaningful ways. The author has divided this book into three parts, where the first part consists of basic spirituality, the second part consists of vedic philosophy, and the third part consists of spirituality practice in daily life.

Perhaps the most impactful aspect of Dr. Subramanian’s points in "Spirituality in Practice" is how possible they truly can be. This book is not just a theoretical investigation but also serves as a guide for self-discovery and improvement. The examples to illustrate the various concepts are very relatable. The author uses personal experience and anecdotes to bring insight into this knowledge.

In addition, the book’s teachings are suitable for present-day exigencies, and it provides essential and imperative teachings to utilize modern life. The author wants readers to engage in culinary fulfillment while leading busy lives and complete their quota of materially and spiritually filled based on the teachings of Puranas to obtain oneness, hence balancing.

The well-structured and properly arranged topic allows for good cohesion of thoughts for readers to understand with wise and advanced thoughts. Each chapter describes one to the next, always giving the readers a way forward in their life of discovery and awareness. I really liked to read this book because I am also very interested in spirituality and meditation. There is nothing that I dislike about the book. It is exceptionally well-edited. There are no grammatical errors in the book.

Also note that, while the book gives some invaluable teachings, some areas need to be improved for clarity. In several lessons, the teaching knowledge may appear deep and ambiguous. It might hinder readers from comprehending some teachings. However, many of such instances do not degrade the book’s overall richness.

In conclusion, “Spirituality in Practice” is an amazing and inspiring book filled with sound advice for readers to become more spiritual and improve their lives. Dr. Subramanian’s knowledge and brilliant use of language make the book unique. I would suggest everyone make a journey to self-discovery and spirituality. I rate the book 5 out of 5.
