Janelle's childhood experiences were enriching and taught her valuable lessons. Through her journey, she has been able to see God's undying love and his persistence in her life. The Overwhelming Love of God Amidst Silent Screams in 12 Ways is her memoir written in poetry form. Each of the 12 poems describes a certain problem along with how she got through it (all with God's help). She adds a bonus poem at the end of the book titled My Love Letter to Jesus.

Janelle's wounds have opened her to new teachings and a chance to reach out to other people. Her tribulations stem from when she was very young, putting her on a path where she desired to have a connection with the Creator. She has taken steps that have taught her a lot, and in some instances, she has learned from her mistakes. This book has accomplished the mission of showing the Father's love, his connection with us, and his never-ending love. Janelle's writing is enlightening and imbues several teachings, including but not limited to mistreatment, friendship, purity, sexual morality, gifts, and marriage.

The quoted Bible verses for each poem show the power of God's word and the instructions in place for each topic she has discussed. She shows the importance of prayer, the power of God in marriage, the importance of identifying your purpose, etc. One of the impactful aspects of poetry that Janelle utilized is repetition. This style of writing added the correct level of emphasis to her teachings and was mostly employed in the poem Empowerment Through the Emotions and Fears of an Enemy in My Bed. The poems have a great structure. She had a summative introduction, which is a great foundation, rolling into a body that tells the story with an ending that concludes the experience, the lesson, and the teachings.

The Overwhelming Love of God Amidst Silent Screams in 12 Ways contains a few unnecessary spaces and paragraph breaks. (This is not a style because this appeared in the initial quoted Bible verses and a few in the poems.) The poems are inspirational, educational, and touching, but the style in which they were composed makes them more appropriate as spoken art. However, if written and considering the type of content, I would be glad for the book to be a plain memoir and not written in poetry form. This would ensure an exhaustive narration of the experiences and a good flow in the book. It is for these reasons that I rate The Overwhelming Love of God Amidst Silent Screams in 12 Ways by Janelle A. Sealy-Francis 4 out of 5 stars. This is a great way to show people the greatness and unending love of God, as well as the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It is a representative case of God's forgiveness and his continuous guidance, even when we fall on our way. The editing is professional, as there were only a few errors.

The Overwhelming Love of God Amidst Silent Screams in 12 Ways is an added Christian resource book for all who would love to develop their relationship with the Creator. It is a guiding path on your way to salvation, and the author has provided experiences that show God's guidance even in the face of great turmoil.

Poetry and memoirs are my two least favorite forms of literature so this is probably not the book for me. I appreciate the thoughts within, though, and am glad that the author can express themself in. This way. Thanks!
