Review of How to “Stop Sucking at Life”
I have read many self-help books that have the 'secret to life'. Most of them are unnecessarily long. But not this one. How to 'Stop Sucking at Life' was a delight. It was a special treat. I loved how straightforward the book is as it tackles the various aspects of life that we can improve. The author has an interesting comment at the beginning of the book. The 'secret' to stop sucking at life is not outright in the book, but you will pick up on it as you read along.
What I loved most about this book is the short and precise chapters. My favorite topic was finances because that is where I struggle the most. I also got some interesting quotes on decision-making. My takeaway from the book was the note by the author that every decision you make has the potential to create a ripple effect. Therefore, each decision should be taken with awareness of the consequences later. Whether the decision involves relationships, healthy living, finances, or finding your purpose, the book is for anyone who wants insight into self-improvement. If you are on a quest to find yourself, are lazy, or are too comfortable, this book is for you.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. I loved that the book was short, and I read it in only two sittings. The insights are straightforward, and you can go back to confirm some of the 'tips'. The book has left some spaces for notes at the end of the book. This will be great for someone who will buy the print version. The book was exceptionally well edited. I loved the book's format and the author's wit. I did not see any negatives and therefore rate the book a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to anyone who wants to improve and stop sucking at life.
