Where's the hope we need to survive? Can one still be religious in the worst of situations? It is a notion I have always maintained that there is "light at the end of the tunnel," even when the path appears to be overwhelmingly challenging. There are times when we have to face tough questions that completely unsettle us. How ought we to reply in these situations? Should we flee, or should we cling to hope and confidence in ourselves?

This book, which I liked, also highlights the amazing advancements in medical and other sectors that our planet has undergone over the last 20 years. For those with a particular interest in medicine, this book provides insight into one of the most important scientific medical discoveries of the past 20 years, one that seemed to come almost by accident—or at the very least, to accelerate into existence. It shows how regular individuals and neighborhood projects can result in noteworthy breakthroughs. The author also does an excellent job of evoking in the reader the thoughts of a tiny child fighting a disease through the description of the protagonist's actions and reactions during his journey. When it comes to a youngster who isn't even fully aware of the gravity of their disease or who lacks the ability to express himself appropriately, actions speak louder than words. I could, however, completely understand the protagonist's experiences.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all readers, but especially to parents who may be facing a cancer diagnosis for one of their children. Perhaps accidentally, this book offers parents a path map in case their child receives a similar diagnosis. It demonstrates that speaking up for oneself or a loved one when dealing with a new illness eventually pays dividends.

This book is incredibly well written and a beautiful ode to parents and family members who hold on to hope despite overwhelming odds. I heartily recommend it. There are no mistakes in it. With nothing to dislike, I would rate it 5 out of 5.
