[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "America, Why?" by Jill Shea.]

In America, Why? Jill Shea shares her frustration about the veil of ignorance in the United States. Jill questions the abnormalities in governance, lawmaking, and the US judicial system, detailing the drastic effects they have had on the country. She compares different US party governments and presidents to show how their rivalry and ideologies have cost or benefited the country. Furthermore, the book explores other aspects that have affected the states, such as the Electoral College, the blindness of party loyalty, and the misleading media. As a researcher in political science, Jill believes there is a problem in the United States that the founding fathers never intended and gives her take on the way forward.

An admirable aspect of the book is how detailed the points are. Jill tackles different flaws in the USA by rewinding to the beginning of the problem and what is currently fueling it. An example of this is the insecurity levels in the USA, which began as a result of gun eligibility and ownership laws. It was also educational to hear her detailed breakdown of liberal, conservative, and socialist thinking when making decisions and how it has been exercised by different government officials over the years, either in executive orders, in parliament, or in justice delivery.

However, in my opinion, the book favored one political side over the other. Although I understand the flaws of corrupt leaders discussed in the book are facts with references, I don't think the leaders of the favored side are 100% perfect in their governance. Nevertheless, I believe the book will be an eye-opener to flaws in US institutions and will also greatly influence decision-making in governance.

Comparing the book's length and the exceptional editing, I commend its editors for an amazing job. The book's author is also skilled in politics, which justifies the one-sided condemnation I listed above. As a result, I see no solid negatives to impact the book's rating. I rate America, Why? by Jill Shea 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to lovers of political scrutiny books. The readers should also be open-minded and not be offended if they find their political stand challenged.

The Author's background in political science made it possible to give a detailed analysis of her concerns.

I love the fact that Jill decided to break down the entire system in order for us to understand how all these laws came about . What a greatly detailed review and it's so interesting. Making this sound like a great read even though it is a genre I know would take me decades to finish. Well done on your review.
