Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis
An engrossing forward written by one of the best golf coaches Chuck Hogan and a dedication addressed to all the passionate golf players make the book, “Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book” by Kalliope Barlis, an essential component for golf players. If you are an earnest golf player keep a copy of it in your bag as it is all for the golf players and the golf players who want to do their best.
This book provides an impactful guide to boost the readers within its concise design. The theme centres around optimising one's mindset to improve performance quality. The author intends to motivate the reader's thought into a powerful tool. Then it will be easy for him or her to link up between mental acuity and on-course success.
I would like to recommend this book to all golf players who want to condition their prowess by conditioning their mentality. Barlis's approach is scientific, rooted in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and offers practical strategies. After reading this book one will be able to enhance focus, visualization, and mental preparedness in the golf field.
The writing style is clear and direct. without being loquacious the author has successfully engaged his readers in his discourse. Divided into three parts, this book is both for beginners and seasoned players. The structured exercises and tips provide systematic guidance.
This book is a must-read book for golf players who want to hone their skills and maximise their potential. If you are struggling with performance plateaus and feeling desperate to break through it, give a thorough journey across the pages. It will certainly boost your resilience. You can consider it as a guidebook or mindmap.
The book not only focuses on mindset improvement but also the technical side of golf playing. Readers seeking comprehensive technical instruction or physical golfing techniques may find it all-encompassing in this respect.
Different techniques and strategies are discussed step by step. Then diagrams are shown to clarify the strokes. The illustrations in the appendix part are praiseworthy. It not only adds graphic beauty but intensifies the comprehensive value of this book.
There is nothing I dislike regarding this book. I am highly influenced by the good intention of the author in building positive mental states for golf players. The author has thrown light also on the LPGA (The Ladies Professional Golf Association), an American organization for female golf players. Though the book is for golf players sometimes the author has transformed his golf field into real real-life battlefield with his wise words:
“You can always change who you are and what you do simply by changing how you think so that you do things in better ways than you did before.” Page 5
The book is professionally edited without any typos. I rate the book 5 out of 5 for all the good causes it provides to me.
