Ruth Ready by Kitty Arceneaux is a great motivational Christian book meant to guide ladies through the process of building a lasting marriage. It is a book that both single and married women will find helpful in guiding them to build splendid marriages. Kitty has a single great question for women as they await their Boaz. “Are you Ruth Ready?” Being Ruth Ready encompasses several things that make up the attributes of a woman who is ready to build a marriage that lasts. The author outlines what women should step forth with, in the process of laying a foundation for their relationship, how to align their hearts to that of their spouse-to-be, and how to cement their relationship with deep faith in God.

The author exhaustively using their own life experiences, outlines the role of putting God at the center of their marriage, the importance of borrowing the attributes of Ruth from the bible, and the importance of remaining true to marriage vows of “Yes I do”, and “Until death do us part.” The author has given enough examples of how she navigated her marriage through storms by keeping an eye and all ears to several bible verses.

Although I am not from the female gender, I loved this book. I learned several things that I will put into practice to better my marriage. I learned from the author’s self-testimony of how marriage is in reality. Besides, the author answered several questions most ladies ask themselves before getting into marriage or while in marriage. Some of them include: Is there a perfect husband? Is it a delusion to look for a perfect husband? Can you have a flawless marriage with no disagreements? What role do mentors play in helping one build a better marriage? What are the attributes of a good husband or wife? When should you walk out of marriage? All these questions have been perfectly answered by Kitty in this book. I couldn’t dislike anything in this book. The author used simple language to enable the reader to understand all the points. She backed up all her points with biblical verses to explicitly emphasize her points to the reader.

I give this book a 5 out of 5-star rating. It was flawlessly edited as I did not come across any editorial errors. The author wrote a book that I believe ladies who are after building lasting marriages will find handy. I recommend the book to all married women looking to better their marriages or those single ladies looking to build a marriage that works.
