I felt deep spiritual immersion when I read "The Move" by O.K. Johnson. The book begins with the author and his wife, Patti, reflecting on how difficult it is to see God's hand in everything without deliberate effort. The couple highlights the importance of a personal and biblical relationship with God, contrasting it with traditional religious practice.

In the beginning, Johnson describes his method of reading the Bible, which includes Psalms, Proverbs, historical or prophetic books of the Old Testament, and books of the New Testament. Daily Bible reading is a central point in the couple's life, serving as a guide and source of divine direction.

Doctrine and Bible study are also fundamental to Christian life. Johnson emphasizes that the goal is to acquire information and achieve personal and spiritual transformation. The author shares how group Bible studies helped shape his beliefs and practices, promoting a deeper understanding of faith.

The book also addresses ministering and applying biblical teachings in the home environment. Johnson recounts miracles and highlights the importance of relationships within the faith community. Both feel a call from God to leave their current situation and prepare for a significant change, facing emotional and spiritual difficulties during the preparation process.

As they progress on their spiritual journey, both reflect on being halfway and the lessons learned so far. Unexpected events and surprises mark the transition from a more accessible phase to a more difficult phase. The author discusses how they faced financial bankruptcy and health problems, trusting God to provide what was needed.

Another relevant point is that the book highlights the importance of trusting God, even when things don't make sense, and the need to obey God's call, even amid uncertainties. At this moment, the faith community, consisting of groups where members can share their lives and experiences, plays a vital role in supporting and guiding the journey.

I particularly enjoyed the part where the author addresses spiritual warfare, the need to protect the mind against Satan's attacks, and the importance of changing one's thinking to discern God's will. Johnson emphasizes that God communicates in various ways, including through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and other Christian community members.

The author and his wife learn to live a simpler life, letting go of material possessions and trusting more in God. They find that perseverance in faith is crucial, even when results are not immediate or apparent.

I rate "The Move" 5 out of 5 stars. What I liked most about the reading and what motivated me to give it the highest rating was the honesty and vulnerability with which Johnson shares his faith journey. I also appreciated the fantastic, perfect edition of the book, the emphasis on Bible reading, and the importance of the faith community, which are groups where members can share their lives, experiences, and challenges more intimately and meaningfully.

However, what I didn't like is that, at times, I felt the book could have explored specific experiences and emotions more deeply, such as the emotional agony during the preparation for the change, the feelings of uncertainty and fear when facing financial bankruptcy, and the internal struggle to maintain faith during health problems. These more detailed explorations would enrich the narrative, providing a stronger emotional connection with the reader.

I recommend this book to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and wishing to be inspired by a journey of trust and obedience to God.
