Quest: Finding Freddie narrates the tale of Mr. Frederick Nachman, representing Nachman International Trading Corporation, who went to Lagos, Nigeria, for a business deal and disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The Nigerian government had just unveiled its third national development plan, which sought to expand the country’s telephone lines from 50,000 to 750,000. This initiative captured the keen interest of NITC, leading Freddie to journey to Lagos to compete for the contract. However, during this trip, Freddie mysteriously disappeared, sparking a series of events that would become central to this captivating story.

After Freddie disappeared, his wife, Ruth Nachman, employed the services of their attorney from the Clifford and Warnke law firm, Mr. Thomas Richard, to go in search of her husband and bring him back home. So many complications made it difficult for Richard to enter Nigeria, but he eventually did with the help of his friend, Peter Johnson, whom he had previously worked with. In the quest to find Freddie, Richard assembled a multi-ethnic team that included his friends and acquaintances, and they faced many challenges together. Will Richard eventually find Freddie, or will his efforts end in futility?

I loved how descriptive the author was; great attention was paid to details, and this made the book a delightful and enlightening read. I also loved how beautifully teamwork played out in the book, and how Richard was able to cooperate with his team despite being a foreigner. Another distinctive feature of this book is its literary style. The author’s writing is clear and engaging; he adeptly weaves suspense, action, and emotion into a seamless narrative. The book's captivating narrative and intricately developed plot held my interest throughout my reading experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading through it.

I read in between the pages of this book, and I couldn’t find anything to dislike. The author’s ability to integrate historical events with personal stories is mind-blowing; the author also created adequate room for suspense, which made the book more thrilling. There were various lessons I absorbed from the book while reading, so generally, it was an amazing book that would keep the readers on the edge of their seats.

I’d rate this book five out of five stars for its detailed storyline, emotional depth, and beautiful literary style. I found no errors in this professionally edited book, ensuring a seamless reading experience. To historians and lovers of a captivating mystery, I highly recommend.
