Review of A Christian Life.....Connected

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "A Christian Life.....Connected" by Jacksel.]
Religion, history, grief, survival, faith, war, and death are just some of the topics we can find in A Christian Life…..Connected by Jacksel. Only a talented author could manage to gather all these elements and create a powerful book, but Jacksel did it perfectly.
In this book, the author created a beautiful connection between different stories, including his personal experiences, to better teach and explain how we are all consumed by religion, in a good and bad way at the same time, and how it is present in several other elements of our society, as well as our historical backgrounds. By going back to some of our deepest experiences and struggles, especially the ones that started in our childhood, we can create a better image of how we truly feel about a large range of topics such as love, resilience, connection with life, and, obviously, faith.
I must admit this book can be quite harsh to read at times due to its harsh topics and, in my subjective opinion, controversial elements. Still, I felt like I was getting a deeper sense of how connected we truly are, despite our beliefs and despite being opposites of the world. Also, the comparisons between religions marked me as well, as they didn’t feel like a judgmental analysis but rather a form of comprehension between different faiths, as we all have much more in common than we think.
With that being said, this book describes a lot of different topics, and some of them might feel like the complete opposite, like religion versus science, which is not a bad thing at all as it pushes our mind to think deeper into the ongoing connections between everything that surrounds us. However, sometimes the pace was extremely fast, and I got lost. At times we were emerging into topics, such as Christianity, for instance, and when I thought we were getting deeper, the subject was completely changed to war or science, leaving me wanting more about the first topic.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time reading this book, as I didn’t find any errors, making this editing flawless. I also found the writing style to be inquisitive and engaging, despite the pacing, which leads me to attribute 4 out of 5 stars to this book and recommend it to anyone who isn’t afraid to read about polemic and subjective topics such as religion and war, and it is not triggered by the harsh perceptions this book translates.
