Embracing Responsibility by Julie Liddell is a motivational book published in 2024 in both Canada and the United States. The book primarily aims to encourage readers to embrace responsibility for their actions and those of others while remaining vigilant and adaptive in a rapidly changing world. The book contains ten intriguing chapters, although only the first chapter is presented.

The first chapter, "Living in a Responsible World," begins with a quote highlighting the inevitability of taking personal responsibility for our actions and those of others, especially in light of many unprecedented occurrences. With issues such as global warming, worldwide political unrest, economic shortfalls, and the aftereffects of a pandemic, Liddell urges readers to stop looking for external solutions and instead focus on internal self-improvement. She argues that addressing global problems requires personal effort from everyone rather than relying on collective policies that often remain unimplemented.

Liddell also discusses the impact of rapid technological advancements, suggesting that they can create unfavorable relationships between nature and humanity, leading to more problems and disturbances in the natural flow of life. Additionally, the author emphasizes consciousness, spirituality, and self-dependence as the best ways to solve any crisis.

Embracing Responsibility is a well-researched book that addresses both personal and global issues, providing practical solutions. Liddell employs straightforward language and structure, ensuring smoothness and coherence in her writing. She makes this book an interesting and unique read by touching on global issues and suggesting unconventional methods. The author cleverly references the works of renowned scholars to support her arguments, adding further value to the book. References to Lao Tzu’s *Tao Te Ching*, Gary Zukav’s *Universal Human*, and Eckhart Tolle’s *A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose* not only complement Liddell’s topic but also offer readers opportunities for further reading.

The book is well-edited, with no typographical or grammatical errors. However, it feels incomplete as only one out of the ten chapters is presented. The book would have been more helpful if Liddell had included the other chapters, approaching them with the same depth and style.

Despite the limited content, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its powerful presentation, strong points, and integration of other authors' works. I believe that the full version of this book would be even more engaging and informative. This book is highly recommended to readers of all backgrounds who enjoy self-help books focused on steering the world in a direction that could reverse the life-threatening changes we face.
