Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis got me impressed with the comprehensive and insightful guidance it offers to golfers at all levels. The book is structured into three main parts: using your brain, practicing golf, and playing golf, each filled with practical tips and innovative techniques.

One of the standout sections for me was the emphasis on mental training in Part One: Using Your Brain. The author delves into how golfers can harness the power of their minds to improve their game. In Part Two: Practicing Golf, the author gives practical advice on structuring one's practice sessions. The author suggests a balanced approach that includes both physical and mental drills. I found helpful the idea of practicing with a clear intention and breaking down the practice into manageable segments. An example is the 15:5 formula. In Part Three: Playing Golf, the focus shifts to on-course strategies. The author provides valuable insights into course management and pre-shot routines. The advice to visualise each hole using modern technology before playing and to set clear goals for each round can affect a golfer’s performance positively.

What sets this book apart is its holistic approach to the various concepts discussed. The author integrates physical practice with mental conditioning, thereby giving a well-rounded strategy for improving one’s golf game. The author's writing style is easy to follow, which makes complex concepts easy to understand.

I rate this book five out of five stars, and here are my reasons: The practical advice, combined with innovative mental techniques, makes the book a must-read for any golfer looking to improve their game. I did not notice any typos in the book, which further enhanced its readability and showed professional editing.

I did not find any negatives or areas for improvement; every section of the book is well-written to provide maximum value to the reader. I recommend this book to golfers of all skill levels, golf coaches, and anyone interested in the mental aspects of sports performance.
