Review of Quest: Finding Freddie
Frederick David Nachman, a Swedish national residing in the United States, headed the prestigious Nachman International Trading Corporation as its president and CEO. Affectionately known as Freddie, he shared a deep connection with his wife, Ruth, as a devoted member of the Jewish community. In the heart of post-war Nigeria, he went to Lagos on a business trip and was reported missing. On the other hand, Richard is a seasoned general partner for a law firm that recently returned from a business trip to Nigeria. His firm, recognizing the urgency of the situation, dispatched him on a crucial mission—to unravel the mystery of Freddie's disappearance and bring him home safely. Freddie's wife is devastated by her husband's disappearance and is willing to do anything for him to be found, dead or alive. I promise you that Quest: Finding Freddie by Thomas Richard Spradlin is all you ever wish it to be and more. Hence, I recommend that you get a copy for yourself.
I love how well-grounded this book is in history. Events that happened in Nigeria at that time, as well as in other countries like Israel, were given in detail so that the situation surrounding how critical the mission was could be established. I also appreciate the author's effort in ensuring that the book was professionally edited. This book deserves a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it has no negative aspects.
As the gripping narrative of Quest: Finding Freddie by Thomas Richard Spradlin unfolded, I found myself inextricably entwined in the story of Nwando's descent into the harsh reality of sex work in Lagos. Life is so unfair, and it made me love Richard more for what he did for her. Also, Richard's conversation with Peter from the United States in Nigeria was particularly intriguing to me. They both discussed the topic openly but in code, and Peter picked up the hints pretty quickly without establishing a code prior to the call. I was impressed! If you like politics-themed books, then I recommend this one to you.

It's always a good sign when readers feel connected to the protagonist.
I wonder what specific techniques the author uses to create this sense of intimacy with the reader.

It doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of the political situation and even abuse.
I'm curious how graphic these descriptions are and if they might be challenging for some readers.
