“The Solution is Political Revolution” by Jillion R. Rising explores the significant influence of special interests and the systems guiding the public and private sectors. Rising emphasizes that citizens, despite their differences, share a common destiny and that change requires engagement, education, and collective action, not violence. The book highlights the growing wealth gap, the erosion of civil liberties, and the overreach of the surveillance state, arguing that sacrificing personal freedoms for security undermines democracy. Rising advocates for a non-violent revolution to restore representative democracy and economic prosperity in America. He suggests reindustrializing and supporting small businesses to counteract the financial instability caused by government debt. The book examines the roles of the Federal Reserve, fiat currency, Wall Street, corporate America, immigration, and government officials in the debt crisis, using historical examples like the 2008 mortgage crisis to support its thesis.

This book states that change for America should come through political and financial reforms and not through violence. The author has apprehensions that these reformative changes will be controlled by corrupt politicians rather than the populace of America. Hopefully, the book is also an appeal to citizens to thoughtfully engage in the analysis of political ideas and their possible implications. Rising helps put things in historical perspective to show how freedom has always been something Americans have come together to fight for. This makes it easy for readers to grasp the sense of togetherness that often defines a nation during difficult circumstances. Despite the fact the fact that Rising implies the government might be starving citizens (deliberately or not, or due to sheer ineptness), he does not indulge in conspiracy theories. He rather employs facts to preach the necessity for American institutions to be changed today to survive tomorrow.

I really enjoyed the book because, It seeks to help realize the ideals of democracy and thus states that ordinary citizens of America can shape policies for the good of all citizens. The book in question is a postmodern narrative that investigates the misuse of power within a society by the governments, companies, and the wealthy with a focus on how such stakeholders perpetuate their authority through creating division. This author also explores conspiracy theories and points out that crime, social injustice, and inequality are becoming urgent problems. This leaves one with the impression of the author’s enthusiasm and support of the material presented in the book, all of which is substantiated by facts and research which he refers to. There is nothing to dislike about it since the book explores major issues that are concerning at the present time with more emphasis focusing on America’s political system and economy. I found nothing to dislike about the book, it is exceptionally well edited.

This book is especially suited for older readers, mostly because of their life experiences, and they will have so much to do with this book. Political or history enthusiasts who are middle-aged may also benefit from the findings if they are of the opposite or similar sex to the participants. Those interested in politics, particularly how the United States government works in the areas of banking and finances, will find the book inspiring. I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
