Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Snatched Up to Heaven: Astounding Testimonies of Heaven and Hell from the Mouths of Babes by Jemima Paul, Ph.D., and Arvind Paul is an enlightening book filled with wisdom and research. In the book, we are introduced to the prophecy from the Prophet Joel, who spoke of four specific signs. These signs laid the foundation for the rest of the story, as the dreams of young Priyanka and Deepika fulfill these signs.
While Priyanka and Deepika were sleeping, they had a dream where they saw their souls carried to Heaven. One thing that stood out was that they both had the same dream. It was like their souls were snatched up in their sleep and taken to the same place. A dream does not seem like the correct term for this experience. After narrating the children's dreams, the authors took the time to explain what a dream is and what a vision is. They also provided passages from the Bible about a similar case, as seen in the case of Paul. I loved that the authors did not just assume things; instead, they studied the Bible to understand what was happening. The kids mentioned being carried on the wings of angels, and there is scripture evidence regarding being carried on angels' wings. I also loved that there were questions within the book that would have come up during the read. While they narrated the dream, I had a question in mind about the Bible contradicting itself, but as I read on, I was happy to see that the author addressed that question with a clear explanation, not based on assumptions. As I read on, I felt like the children had experienced the Bible. What seemed like a happy, colorful, and cheerful dream turned out to be a biblical experience. There is a Bible backup for every aspect of the dream discussed. I also loved the picture memories included in the book.
There is nothing to dislike about this book; if anything, I wished for an experience of my own. The book made me realize that experiences solidify our beliefs. There were a few minor errors, but they did nothing to disrupt my reading. The book was still finely edited.
For the excellent insight into Bible relations and profound understanding of spiritual concepts shown by the authors, I rate this book five out of five stars. This book is centered on Christianity, so readers sensitive to religious concepts should be cautious if they choose to read it. However, if you are curious about Priyanka and Deepika's dream and want more insight, read this book to learn its details.
