This is a book that offers marital advice to women on how to be prepared while waiting to find their right partners. As the name implies, the book uses the biblical story of Ruth to bring out principles a woman should adopt and qualities she must possess to experience a healthy marriage life. Ruth-Ready by Kitty Arceneaux aims to recondition a woman's mind on the real meaning of love, marriage, and relationships. It creates a new set of criteria for requirements a woman should bear in mind, emphasizing the need to be character-specific and not appearance-specific when choosing a partner.
 
The book talks about how getting prepared is a life journey and how continuous self-development is vital in the lives of both single and espoused women. It also entails the involvement of God in the sustenance of marriages. The book then comes to the conclusion that marriage is work and an act of service in expressing God's love through the union of a man and a woman.
 
I like how the book was written with purpose and intentionality, and how each chapter was in synchrony to deliver the full message. The author's writing style is free-flowing, and the language used in the book is simple to understand. I like how the author breaks down the story of Ruth to reveal hidden values and concepts that are overlooked by readers. The inclusion of Kitty's own experiences in the book gives it a personal and relatable feel.
 
What I don't like about the book is the way the ending pages are about the marital experiences of people. I think it's unnecessary, as the pages should have been used to broaden the reader's view of marriage generally.
 
The editing quality of the book is top-notch and of high quality. The recommended audience for this book is women who need counseling when it comes to finding the right partner. I give the book a rating of five out of five stars because the only negative aspect of the book mentioned above didn't affect my overall experience.
