When was the last time you read a book with a political theme? This is a subject in which everyone should be interested because if anything goes wrong in politics, it affects everyone, and if it's right, everyone would benefit from it. Quest: Finding Freddie by Thomas Richard Spradlin is a fascinating book that briefly talks about Nigerian politics.

In the early chapters of this book, we were introduced to Frederick David Nachman, who was President and Chief Executive Officer of Nachman International Trading Corporation (NITC), and his wife Ruth, who was also an important person in the corporation. Something absurd happened on Saturday, August 14, 1976, while Frederick was on his way to Lagos as he suddenly disappeared. Could this be a result of the political tension going on in Nigeria during that period? Within this period, we could see the coup that happened in Nigeria, which contributed to this political tension. Does it have anything to do with Frederick's disappearance?

Being a very enthusiastic reader of political books, especially about different nations of the world, I couldn't help but smile heavily when a friend recommended this book to me. I have heard a lot about Nigeria, and no doubt it is one of the biggest African countries. But then reading about the evolution in leadership and politics hits differently. There was this suspense that came at the early stage of the book, which has to do with Frederick's disappearance. I was left wondering if Nigerian political tension led to it, and I was compelled to continue reading in order to uncover this twist. I encountered no errors while reading; it shows that the book was properly edited without errors.

But then my issue was with the cover page, which has a map and a title that doesn’t align. If there was a sub-title that captured the political theme of the book, it would have been more appealing. However, I won't be deducting any stars due to this. Therefore, I would rate this book five out of five stars and would recommend this book to lovers of politics and suspense.
