Snatched Up to Heaven was an interesting and intriguing book. Two young girls, ages 2 and 4 relayed the dreams they experienced, visiting both heaven and hell to their parents. Being from the Christian faith, the parents then researched the Bible to find the correlations between the dreams and the scriptures. Immediately, they stated that the Bible is always the final authority on everything, which I appreciated. They shared the girl’s dreams with hopes to encourage others to believe but said that everyone should draw their own conclusions. Many Bible verses were included to show how accurate and descriptive the girls’ dreams were.

In their depictions of heaven, everyone was happy, everything was clean and sparkling with precious metals and jewels. They spoke of Jesus and God and how kind and loving they were. Details were very interestingly correlated with scriptures, including the color of robes worn, crowns, music, worship, and feasting. Animals were all kind and well taken care of and everyone had enjoyable work to do. Even though the girls were young and only had a basic education in the Bible they relayed deep Biblical truths.

The visits to hell were a bit disturbing, and the girls’ descriptions were more in line with a worldly understanding. They called the demons monsters and witches and correlated Hell to an eternal Halloween. Everyone was naked, hurt, hungry, thirsty, and miserable. The parents became strongly against Halloween after these dreams and encouraged other Christians not to celebrate it as well. I didn’t agree with some of their thoughts, but overall everything they shared was done with good intentions of bringing glory to God.

This was a great book, it was exceptionally well-edited with no errors. It was a genuinely encouraging book and a good reminder of what we look forward to as we serve God here on Earth. I rate this book 5/5 and I recommend it to anyone.
