Review of The Solution is Political Revolution
"The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R. Rising elaborately scrutinizes the systemic issues that underlie the American financial and political systems. The author’s call for a united, non-violent political revolution is thought-provoking and timely, urging readers to consider structural problems beyond partisan politics. Well-structured chapters and well-balanced views presented make this a proper piece to have a critical look at the present system while entertaining alternative propositions as showcased by Rising. Policymakers and citizens have an invaluable reference in this book that calls for collective responsibility for meaningful change.
Within this context, he deals with several pressing themes, which include the 2008 mortgage crisis, the Federal Reserve’s role, moving from the Gold Standard to the fiat monetary system, etc., outlining the reasons behind them and offering modern ways of avoiding the meltdown of prospects due to these factors. One of the main messages addresses the need for “oneness” among Americans to overcome divisions fueled by political corruption and media malice (Rising 70). The author presents his thoughts throughout the book consistently and coherently while encouraging readers to probe into factuality as they come up with their own conclusions.
Although some of the proposed measures may appear hard to attain or impractical, the concepts in the book are valid and challenge the status quo. The writer’s fair presentation and a call for a new political party called the Logician Party highlight his commitment to fostering unity as well as creativity.
What I like most about this book is how the author presents his ideas rather than forcing them on readers. Rather than arguing that his solutions are the only way forward, he asks readers to read with an open mind and think critically about what they have read. He ponders questions throughout the text that compel readers to examine issues themselves and make their own judgments.
This is a revolutionary and thought-provoking book, and I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. There isn’t anything to hate about this book at all. The book has no errors.
The book is highly recommended for policymakers as well as other interested parties because it contains information through which they can make informed choices leading to meaningful change.
